These copic empty markers are an excellent way to create and expand your marker collection. The dual tip markers come with both a broad chisel nib and a fine point nib, so you can choose the best tool for the job! The ink will dry acid-free and is compatible with any thin ink or food coloring. It should take about 1.5 - 2 cc of extra ink to completely saturate the sponge inside the new marker, compared to refilling an already used one. Just be sure not to use paint-based inks as these will cause the pores to dry out, preventing it from flowing properly. For example, if you want a more opaque look, you can add more water to the paint. If you want a more transparent look, you can add less water. Opaque white is ideal for use with permanent inks and water color, but it cannot be used over Copic markers as it contains pigment based ink.
